Sermon Notes : What If I Got It Wrong?

• Luke 7:11-27
• If you never have any questions about the God you encounter in the pages of scripture you are cherry picking. 
• Matthew 3:11-17
• Jesus was baptized so our sins were washed away. 
• Certain and sacrificial 
• Not today. 
• Dead things come alive when Jesus speaks. 
• How are we so confused when Jesus’ identity is so clear?
• Doubt
• Bring it to Jesus. 
• Shrink your circle and only talk to people about your doubts who are the Lord or who will take them to the Lord. 
• Some people can talk you out of believing altogether. 
• Ask Jesus directly. 
• Matthew 11:2-3
• You can’t understand my doubt if you don’t understand my dungeon. 
• Sometimes you’re wrong because you sin, and there’s grace for you there. 
• Learn to look for God’s warnings as blessings not curses. 
• The beep is a blessing
• When God’s spirit convicts you of something in your life that’s a blessing. 
• You can repent and redeem. 
• God will always show you where to repent with the goal of redemption. 
• God’s tool is reflection. 
• The enemy uses regret, it was wrong and you’re wrong. 
• Clear in one moment, and cloudy in the next. 
• We hear the declaration though the filter of our dungeon. 
• It’s not that we doubt what God will do, we wonder if He will do it for me. 
• Listen to Him, not the prison.
• When we try to make sense of our situation in isolation we always come to the wrong decision. 
• If you listen to your prison in these moments your faith will die. 
• Go ask Jesus. 
• Just because I’m facing resistance doesn’t mean I did something wrong. 
• Sometimes you face the biggest resistance when you are in the biggest moments of your life. 
• Resistance is an indication of significance. 
• God has favored you. 
• What does He say about our situation?
• Jesus is here. 
• Isaiah 61:1
• What do you do when God doesn’t say the part you want him to say?
• Let go of the plan and lock into God’s purpose. 
• Faith to remain. 
• John stopped believing in Jesus but Jesus never stopped believing in John. 
• God knows that you have the kind of faith that can remain and stay and trust even if he doesn’t meet your expectations.
• Do you have a grudge against God right now?
• Doubt is a door that God can come through and take you deeper in your faith.
• Keep trusting that He is enough even when he doesn’t do the stuff that you want him to do. 
• It’s the moments when good doesn’t do what you wanted that faith has the chance to grow. 
• God doesn’t think he chose the wrong person. 
• God is still enough even when I feel like I am not.
