Hey friends! Just a quick update today to let you know what I’m hoping to read this month. And an update now that we are almost halfway through the month.

First of all, I have to say that I set the bar exceptionally high. When you see this list you will know exactly what I mean.

• A Clash of Kings
• Cujo
• A Storm of Swords
• The Gunslinger
• A Feast for Crows

So, as you can see I have 4 of the 5 ASOIAF books on this list. Which is totally doable, however I’ve become obsessed with playing Stardew Valley again, and it’s severely eating into my reading time.

So, being almost at the halfway point of August, here’s what I’ve completed so far. 🫣

August TBR so far :

• A Game of Thrones
• Firestarter
• A Clash of Kings
• Cujo
• A Storm of Swords
• The Gunslinger
• A Feast for Crows

That’s right – I’ve only finished 2 books this month! Which for me is abysmal, but there’s still time to complete my goal.

I’ve got about 350 pages of a Clash of Kings left, which I could finish by tomorrow if I’m focused.

In all honesty, I’m a little disappointed in myself. I would like to, at some point, get back into reviewing books. But first I want to complete my current TBR which includes books that I already own. (Most of which I’ve read at least once already.)

That list is currently at 124 books. I’ve got a long way to go.

But I’m determined to get a huge chunk of those books finished by the end of this year. One of my goals for this blog is to read and recommend new books so it’s time to actually get reading!
