Sermon Notes : Let’s Build Something
- Nehemiah 1:2-4; 10-11
- There’s a disconnect between where we are and what the next season looks like.
- You’re a Christian but do you know you’re a builder?
- The cross of Jesus Christ takes us from dead to alive.
- Not by our own merit or worth.
- Jesus pursues you.
- God didn’t save us just to save us.
- He wants to do something in and through you to reach the generation that he put you in.
- The spirit of god living in you is greater than anything this world can throw at you.
- You have been called for such a time as this.
- God I need you to move somehow, and someway.
- He wants to give you a burden for this world.
- There’s people whose walls are broken down.
- When you’re the person whose walls are broken it doesn’t feel like you have space to be thinking about anybody else.
- You don’t have to pretend that you have it all together.
- Rebuilding walls.
- You’re a part of a story that is bigger than anything you could ever possibly imagine.
- God has given you an assignment.
- You can’t wait until you’re filled up.
- Go on your walks.
- Everything doesn’t need to be in order.
- What are we waiting for?
- That’s an excuse we like to hold on to so we don’t have to obey the word that god has given us.
- Nehemiah 2:10
- Remind others that God has not forgotten about them.
- Opposition happens whenever you beginning to take steps to rebuild walls and start becoming who god has called you. The enemy will start to bring opposition to your soul.
- When you begin to move forward, winds will try to move against you.
- Don’t let others words stop you from moving forward.
- Luke 13:31-33
- I must press on.
- Nehemiah 3
- Everyone has to do their part.
- What you build now, someone you love will live in later.
- Nehemiah 6:1-10
- Carrying a great project.
- Don’t back down to who you used to be.
- God strengthen my hands.
