In an effort to actually maintain this space, I thought that instead of doing just reviews, which come out sporadically, that I could also journal about reading as I go. Today is November 7, 2026 and here’s what I’m reading.

Other Worlds Than These by Stephen King and Peter Straub. I had the kindle version of this book preordered the day it was announced. My husband surprised me with a physical copy for my bookshelf yesterday. I immediately abandoned all plans and started reading. I can’t wait to see what happens to Jack this time.

Little Wonder by Sophie Chen Keller : This was the pick for book club that I didn’t get in time on Libby, and for some reason until I saw it on the shelf there, I never thought to check the actual library. So I’m reading it now, and at about the halfway point am falling so much into the story. My goal is actually to finish this one today since it’s the first outlier in my scheduled reading list.

From NetGalley, I’m reading So Close the Hand of Death by J.T. Ellison. I did zero research on this one ahead of time so I had no idea it’s the middle of a series. But the storyline is incredibly engaging. I’m enjoying it a lot.

So there are my reading plans for today. Not much else on my list. I do need to make some rice so it’s cool to make fried rice with later. (I had a request for spam fried rice, so that’s what we are having. Alongside some frozen chicken potstickers we grabbed from Sam’s Club.) I’m heading for a walk with my husband in a bit. I’m really going to miss him when he gets a new job. It’s been such a fantastic few weeks just getting to spend so much uninterrupted time together. He is my favorite, and it’s an honor to love him.

What are you reading/up to this November 7, 2026? Let me know in the comments.
