The Storm Has It’s Purpose

  • Mark 6:45-56
  • The story you tell yourself will be the life that you live.
  • Every story has a storm, but every storm has it’s purpose.
  • Everyone wants to arrive, but not everyone wants to take the trip.
  • If you want to get to, you’ve got to go through.
  • Isaiah 43:2
  • It’s not a question of if, but a question of when.
  • The story is bigger than you can imagine, so don’t give up in the storm.
  • You have to put the text into context.
  • Are you in the storm, or are you just in between 2 miracles?
  • Do not place a period where God has placed a comma.
  • Storms make you realize you’re not in control.
  • Wisdom doesn’t prevent storms.
  • God loves it when we realize we’re not in control.
  • Even when we can’t see Jesus, he can see us.
  • Take courage and God takes control.
  • The storm will give way to new revelations.
  • Matthew 14:32-33
  • It took a storm for the disciples to see that Jesus is divine.
  • God can do things immediately, but usually on the heels of those who are patiently pursuing him.
  • God is slow, fast.
  • Worship God like you’re in the middle of the turbulence.
  • Our faith suffers when we forget.
  • We just need to find the awe and wonder again.
  • Devastation leads to innovation and a new revelation.
  • Storms create the perfect stage for an audacious response.
  • Problems are platforms for God to show off.
  • Taking courage requires action to do it.
  • Whatever you’re facing today, just come to Jesus.
  • The devil wants you to focus on things that you can’t even see.
  • Close your eyes and open your ears.
  • Adversity is a great time for audacity.
  • What could you do today with some average faith?
  • It’s not about the size of your faith but the size of your God.
  • Jesus will walk on water to get to you, too.
  • Don’t give up the storm has it’s purpose.
