Sermon Notes : I’m Annoyed But I’m Assigned

  • Acts 16:16-18
  • Liberation led to incarceration
  • Even in chains you can still have church.
  • Look at your circumstance through the lens of your purpose.
  • It will change everything for you.
  • There’s nothing more powerful than someone that is looking at what they are going through through the lens of the opportunity they are called to.
  • When you’re not thinking about God, he’s still thinking about you.
  • If your dream and vision only affects you then it is not from God.
  • We have lost the art of agreeing to disagree.
  • God turns division into multiplication.
  • Would much rather have no than nothing.
  • Sometimes God’s no is louder than his yeses.
  • If my steps are going to be ordered by God, then my stops must be ordered by him too.
  • If you hear no and don’t know where to go, you’ve got to pause.
  • What do you do when your reality looks contradictory to the vision that God gave you?
  • The devil will wrap a truth with deception.
  • Saying the right thing in the wrong spirit.
  • Their obedience got them beaten.
  • What do you do when you’ve obeyed God and you still end up in the darkness?
  • Just because it’s a dark place doesn’t mean that God can’t do a miracle.
  • God isn’t done with you yet.
  • Not praising out of deliverance, but out of devotion.
  • Your praise has the power to set someone else free. To reach your child who isn’t even at the service.
  • When you understand your assignment, you can stay in the motel for one night…
  • It’s the assignment that puts the annoyance in perspective.
