Hi friend! Today’s review is for the book The Survivors by Jane Harper.
Below you’ll find the description of the book provided by NetGalley, followed by my personal purposely short and sweet review and star rating. Enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by.
*Disclaimer : I received a copy of this ebook for free from NetGalley and Macmillan Audio in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
Kieran Elliott’s life changed forever on the day a reckless mistake led to devastating consequences.
The guilt that still haunts him resurfaces during a visit with his young family to the small coastal community he once called home.
Kieran’s parents are struggling in a town where fortunes are forged by the sea. Between them all is his absent brother, Finn.
When a body is discovered on the beach, long-held secrets threaten to emerge. A sunken wreck, a missing girl, and questions that have never washed away…
My Review :
I enjoyed The Survivors a lot. It was very descriptive, yet quickly paced enough to keep me listening.
The narration of the audio book seemed to fit perfectly.
Kieran is a delightful character to get to know, and he develops nicely. In actuality, I enjoyed the entire range of characters, right up to the very end.
The beach also seems to be a character itself, and I appreciated that too.
The mystery of who the real criminal was honestly caught me by surprise. The book really encompasses so many angles and details that I was kept guessing the entire time. I really am grateful there were no loose ends left.
If you enjoy page turning mysteries – I’d recommend this to you!
