Hi friends! Today’s book thoughts are for The Perfect Crime. This is a short story compilation that is edited by Vaseem Khan and Maxim Jakubowski.

I want to thank Harper Collins for gifting me this book to read and review.

First of all, I have to preface this by saying that while I am a big reader, I’ve never really given short stories a chance. They’ve never really been something I’ve been drawn to, so I just didn’t read them.

The Perfect Crime has made me realize how wrong I’ve been. If you aren’t familiar with me, hi – my name is Renee and I love reading about crimes, true crime docs, murder podcasts…all the things. So this book was definitely my jam.

This is such an interesting collection of stories I was hooked from the first case to the last. From vigilante justice, to revenge murders…The Perfect Crime truly has it all.

I will be the first to admit that settling in with a long book I can sink my teeth into is the perfect way to spend my day. So I was worried I wouldn’t enjoy the quick and to the point fast paced reads. I am happy to report I was so wrong.

Each included story is so satisfying to read with no loose ends that I was sad when I finished. I’ll definitely be looking to add more short stories to my TBR moving forward.

If you like to be kept on your toes with quick. reads that are definitely exciting – then I think you will adore The Perfect Crime. I give this one 4 stars.
