Hi friends! I’m back with a review of a book that I’ve recently finished, The Love of My Other Life by CJ Connolly.
*Disclaimer : I received a copy of this ebook for free from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
We meet our main character Josie as she’s living her life as a radio show host. She goes to choir practice and loves her friends. Then she’s in a bike accident and everything comes crumbling down…or is it? She wakes up in a life she doesn’t know with a husband she’s never met. And her theory that emerges for this is pretty radical.
I liked this book because the plot was engaging and I wanted to see how Josie/Peter/Rob ended up. Josie’s lives on the different spectrums are vastly different. It was fun to see her really blossom as each side of herself. When she realizes how she can change things back…well, it’s definitely a story that is out of this world.
I’m going to keep this spoiler free, so that is all I will say about how she thinks she can get back to her former life. Or is it their former lives? 🧐
One thing that I did not like about this book is just how long it was. Yes, the story is engaging, but there is SO much of it! Maybe I’m a little jaded because I have been reading shorter novels lately, so this is just a personal issue that pertains to myself.
I give The Love of My Other Life 4 stars because in the end, I really did enjoy reading about Josie.
Thanks for taking the time to read today, and I hope you’ll check this book out for yourself! Reading is always subjective, so everyone will have a different opinion on it.
