Hi friends! My book review today is for Small Acts of Defiance by Michelle Wright.

*Disclaimer : I received a copy of this ebook for free from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Small Acts of Defiance tells of Lucie as she moves with her mother to France right around the German takeover.

As she gets to know others her own age, she realizes that she doesn’t agree with the political mind her uncle has.

As Lucie’s friends start to enact small defiances, she realizes she can’t sit back and not join them. Especially as the war starts escalating.

I so enjoyed the book. You really can feel the sense of hope that she carries, even though there’s so much going wrong.

She experiences so much loss and pain, some of it even unintentionally self inflicted.

I give this book 4 stars.
