Description :
On a scale from one to ten on the epic failure charts, Charlotte Dawsonâs day just passed an eleven.

Just when she thinks sheâs free and clear of marketplace drama, Charlotte finds herself in the throes of a hide-and-seek game with the nosiest woman in town. And if that wasnât enough to add to her bad day, the hot new bag guy catches her hiding outâŚin the liquor sectionâŚon a Sunday in the South. But she canât formulate the words to tell him to get lost. In fact, she canât speak at all once she gazes into those hazel eyes.
Having been ditched at the altar by his long-term girlfriend, Hollywood sensation Ian âClearyâ Tate escapes to Sunrise Valley for one reasonâpeace. Serving as a temporary apprentice under his stepfather at Adlerâs Market is the perfect coverânothing says redefining his life like a little manual labor. Until he runs into a problemâŚCharlotte Dawson, the widow of the townâs biggest hero. He in no way expected to develop a fascination with the bumbling, yet refreshing, young mom, who just so happens to have the grace of a one-legged chimpanzee.
In a series of unexpected encounters between the aisles of the supermarket and the gossip-filled streets of Sunrise Valley, Charlotte and Ian get to know one another, Georgia styleâall under the watchful eyes of a group of meddling old women known as the GOLs (Gossiping Old Ladies).
Itâs not easy falling in love after heartbreak, but Ian and Charlotte have a chance at exactly thatâŚif Ianâs secret Hollywood fame and Charlotteâs former life donât get in the way first.
Love In The Aisles – My Review :
As someone who used to work in a grocery store – this story instantly made me feel nostalgic.
Getting to know Charlotte and (the real) Ian was such a fun journey.
Charlotte is kind of a klutz, who is battling a reputation that she doesn’t deserve. Ian is running from another life hoping to settle into a bit of normalcy.
Together they make a delightful duo. While certain situations arise that make them being a couple seem like a pipe dream, they don’t let that stop them from trying.
I think this book was well written, and fun to read.
